China Town
Chinatown is a colorful, exotic and busy area, packed with market stalls and probably the greatest concentration of gold shops in the city. The China town is located on the Yaowarat Road, which is considered to be a legacy of China in Bangkok. The China town has over hundreds of shops selling different kinds of clothes, fabrics, souvenirs, second hand equipments and the most common thing inside is it has the biggest gold market in Bangkok. Relatively untouched by modern development and despite being always crowded, hot and exhausting it's an experience not to miss. The main road, Yaowarat Road, follows the curve of a dragon's body, making it an ideal location for business. A tour of Chinatown Bangkok provides a fascinating insight into a very different way of life. With 10 temples, 20 shrines, old shops, markets and homes, Chinatown is a wealth of cultural treasures which thankfully have been preserved for more than two centuries.
