Silom Road
It is the capital business and entertainment district of Bangkok city. Silom Road terminates at Charoen Krung, or New road, which runs parallel with the Chao Phraya River. On both sides of this majestic waterway are famous hotel like The Oriental, Royal Orchid Sheraton, Shangri-La and The Peninsula, all of which boast excellent restaurants and bars. The Silom road has one of the best entertainment districts in the whole Thailand ‘Pat Pong Road’ which is popular and crowded by both locals and tourists. It is a small area in this district, is famous for various kinds of entertainment wine, beer, music, dancing and the happening nightlife. Silom offers dozens of moderate to super-luxury hotels, exclusive restaurants, high-end shopping malls, great sidewalk shopping, and the infamous nightlife. The Road has many religious places to visit as well such as the Hindu temple, Historical Thai temples and a Church.
